Welcome to the club formerly known as Delaware Anime Fans (DAF). Effective October 25th 2006, we are now the Delaware Asian Culture Enthusiasts (DACE)! You can still find us under the name of DACE via the web such as our home page address. Why the name change? Because we want to reflect that we are more than just an anime club. We've been around since December of 2002 as Delaware Anime Fans (DAF) and have an average turnout of 15 to 20 members per meeting. In addition well over 300 members in our online group. As one of the most active groups in Delaware, we offer bi-monthly meetings in Bear, Newark and Hockessin. As far as DACE online goes, we offer a forum, mailing list as well as accounts on the various blogging journals and MySpace.
DACE is a great place, in general, to join if you like Japanese Animation, adult anime, manga, cosplay, Asian music, Asian culture, Live Action Asian Cinema, video games, anime conventions, fan-art, fan-fictions and all things related. Best of all, anyone is allowed to join, whether you're in grade school, college, a native Delawarean or from out of state. All are welcome to join in the fun, though we do have an age recommendation of 13+ due to some of the content of our viewings (parental consent forms are available upon request.)
Alot of what we have to offer is made possible by the various companies / organizations who sponsor us with things such as our Go equipment from the American Go Association, raffle items donated by Anime FX as well as promotional items from ADV, Funimation, Central Park Media & The Right Stuf International. We operate primarily on donations and the funds we receive through our fundraising efforts, but we are a non-profit organization. Thank you for visiting and come back soon!
